Need some kicks!

PS:  Avocados have diverse fats. For a typical avocado:
        High avocado intake was shown in one preliminary study to lower blood cholesterol levels.

Healthy meal

The secret to flat abs? Foods like whole grains, low-fat dairy, and lean protein, which curb hunger, boost your calorie burn, and prevent belly bloat. We've combined these slimming ingredients into a week's worth of delicious dinners.

Steak-and-Pepper Tacos

Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
1 pound flank or hanger steak
Juice of 1 lime, plus lime wedges for serving
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon mild chili powder
3 teaspoons vegetable oil
1/2 red onion, sliced
3 bell peppers, 1 each red, yellow, and orange, thinly sliced
1/2 cup fresh or frozen corn kernels
8 small corn tortillas, warmed
1/2 avocado, sliced
1/4 cup grated low-fat Monterey Jack
1/4 cup salsa verde or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons sliced pickled jalapenos
Reduced-fat sour cream (optional)
Directions
1. Marinate the steak in the lime juice, salt, garlic, and chili powder in a sealed plastic bag for 20 to 30 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat for 5 minutes. Add 2 teaspoons of the vegetable oil to the pan. Add the red onion and bell peppers; cook, tossing frequently, for 5 minutes. Add the corn and continue to cook until the peppers are charred and soft, about 3 more minutes. Transfer the vegetables to a bowl and keep warm.
3. Wipe the skillet with a paper towel and heat for another minute. Add the remaining teaspoon of vegetable oil. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Lay the steak in the pan, reduce heat to medium-high, and cook about 8 minutes for medium-rare, turning once halfway through. Transfer to a board and let rest for 5 minutes.
4. Slice the steak across the grain and arrange on a platter with the peppers and lime wedges. Make tacos with the warm tortillas, avocado, Monterey Jack, salsa, jalapenos and, if desired, sour cream.
Nutrition facts per serving: 416 calories, 32g protein, 38g carbohydrate, 16g fat (4.3g saturated), 7g fiber

Some numbers

Yesterday I did 20 minutes of step aerobic again (for stats :)).
So before I started exercising my weight was 61 kg. My goal is 53! Right now I'm 60 kg! My height is 170 cm.

So....Zumba?

Lately noticed there is some kind of Zumba revival in the world of fitness. Watched some videos , read some articles. I find it kind of very interesting. I think it's very similar to Step aerobic, I mean in general. A lot of moving and dancing. Pretty entertaining to watch. Maybe I should try once. I believe it's a lot of fun and a great exercise. Any advices?

I did it!

So. Yes, I started my Step aerobic today. Was using DVD "Basic aerobic + Body fusion"... Body fusion was not in the list today, because I started having troubles breathing :)
After 5 minutes of workout, I was standing trying to get my heart slow down a bit :)))) Hit my sweat though!!!!!
I bet I will have some mussel pain tomorrow!!!

Feels great!

Stick to Plan!

Good morning everyone!
Now, when I have got my equipment, I've  decided to make a plan! Would be nice to exercise 3 times a week, but at first I'd decided to make more realistic goal. One time per week!
Then.. I choose to do whole body training and some Ab training, so I've bought 2 disks of Cathe Friedrich: "Basic Step+Body Fusion" and "Core Max". Equipment needed: step, floor mat, stability ball, 8-pound medicine ball (I have 4-pound one (no, seriously)), dumbbells, tubing strap. Cathe is my favourite trainer at the moment!
So.. Let's start!!! I will definitely share how it went!

Some tips, before buying a step!

As I said I did lots of searching before I have bought this particular aerobic step. Here what I found out. There are lots of steps which looks similar to this one on the picture I uploaded, one difference - they have a rubber cover on top of them. My suggestion, buy it without a rubber - it just can easily come off, which can cause a lot of frustration and disappointment!  - From personal experience!

What about exercising?

Once I used to go to gym.. imagine that :)... There for the first time I tried step aerobic. That was so awesome! After first time I could hardly moving, I felt all my mussels. That kind of aerobic gave me an amazing felling of healthy body. My back and neck wasn't hurting for a long time.
So.. Think you won't be surprised that I decided to restart doing this kind of exercising again!
Said - Done! I spent a lot of time searching Internet for proper fitness equipment..Two days I was comparing prices and quality for the step board and such. Check it out:




That`s what I`ve bought! Notice I`m going to exercise at home, in my basement :) I can`t afford to visit gym and leave my babies at home!
 Now I`m set :)))  Step aerobic kills the fat and calories, plus it helps to build the mussels which needed to hold your bones, that`s how you prevent back, neck pain!

Good morning!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, I can tell you! It gives you great start of the day. In other words its gives you energy.
My favourite boost is buttermilk+quick oats+frozen or fresh raspberries+A little bit of sugar, if its too sour for you!
That a perfect breakfast for me! Raspberries are full of vitamins, antioxidants and fibre.

Instead of buttermilk you can use yogurt or milk, if you use yogurt don't put any sugar in :)

Step one! Priorities!

First I thought I should eat healthy! Yeah.... First of all i went and ate the whole box of chocolates.....so its doesn't interfere in future..somebody had to destroy that. I'm on the right way!!! See, you can do it too!
Healthy eating? I'm not an expert of diets. Yeah but every clearheaded man knows what good for you..We'll definitely talk about it later and a lot!

The other thing that came to my mind I should find the right exercises which emphasised on killing the fat and on building some mussels, where they needed. I did quite the search in Internet and figured it out :)

That's a good start, isn't it?

Hello Everybody!


Had an idea to find people like me who wants to get healthier, look perfect and such and such and such.. :)
We can motivate each other each day to do work done on the way to feel healthy and beautiful. We can share our success and concerns, watch ourselves to get fit more every day!

The idea came to me after I had two babies and looked at myself in the mirror! I want to be healthy, happy and beautiful  mother and wife!


So.... Let's do it together :) You always do better when somebody watching!!!!
